Affordable Housing for Fannin

Bill Vernay is currently heading up the Affordable Housing for Fannin Committee.  This committee is comprised of local and industry professionals who are seeking to secure, fund, develop and sell affordable housing to meet the current and future needs of our young and elderly in Fannin County.  This committee is not-for-profit.  The development of Fannin County has been mostly geared to the second-home market, making it too expensive for our infrastructure to compete with neighboring counties for affordable housing.  Currently in Fannin County, there are few subdivisions that can fill the shoes of this void and provide a quality home environment that will meet the needs.  Through a diligent effort and community involvement, the Affordable Housing Committee for Fannin can fill this void, as well as create jobs and create a starting point and life-long residency for our children for generations to come.  It is our intention to provide single family dwellings, government assistance for financing and an opportunity to provide child/senior care to assist our residents for the challenges of the future.
